About Commun-IT

Commun-IT is owned and operated by Cido Research. Cido employs a group of seasoned market research professionals, who are experts at understanding the art and science of data collection. As a member you will earn money for providing your opinion on products and services that are of interest to you.

Cido Research started in 2009, as the combination of three of the industry’s leading field organizations – Acrobat Research (North America), Kramer Marktforschung (Europe), and Cimigo (Asia/Pacific). The company employs a global team of market research field specialists with cumulative experience extending back to 1986. With more than 100 research professionals, over 1,000 interviewing staff and 2,000+ people in distributed field teams, Cido is one of the largest independent field research teams in the world.

Cido Research supports and strictly adheres to the standards and guidelines set out by the MRA (Marketing Research Association), The MRIA (Canada) and ESOMAR for the ethical conduct and collection of online survey research. Cido Research will never release personally identifying information to any third party and will never send unsolicited emails.

We are fully compliant with both US and Canadian anti spam legislation. You will only receive market research relevant emails from us and your email will never be shared with a third party client.

How do I become a member of Commun-IT

Becoming a Commun-IT member is a 3-step process. First, you should complete a Request to Join here. Completion of the form will only take a minute or two.

Next, you will receive a phone call from our office (normally within 24-48 hours) where we will confirm your profile details over the phone. Please make sure you provide the best number to reach you while you are at work. Based on that verification, we will confirm your invitation to join Commun-IT.

Finally, you will receive an email asking you to activate your account. After that, you are a full Commun-IT member!

Can my membership be revoked?

Your responsibility is to provide opinions thoughtfully and honestly. We reserve the right to revoke the membership of any community members that do not fulfill this responsibility, or that attempt to register under more than one individual profile/email.

What is the cost of Commun-IT membership?

Membership is free.

How often will I be contacted?

Based on the information provided during the registration process, commun-IT.com will send you invitations whenever relevant research activities are available. You may receive several e-mail requests per month. We will always outline the nature, requirements and compensation of the activity, and you will be able to decide quickly whether you wish to participate.

How is my privacy protected?

Privacy and safekeeping of your personal information is our top priority. Any personal information will never be shared with third parties. Also, you will not receive spam as a result of joining commun-IT. You can review our privacy policy for more details.

How can I change or update my profile information?

You can change your information by logging into the site and going to Home Page, and then clicking through the Account tab to “User Profile”.

How do I get compensated for participating in research activities?

Compensation is credited to your account at the end of every activity. Normally, our payments are issued in amazon.com certificates, although we are currently considering other forms of payment. You will receive payment in “Points”. Each “Point” has a value of $1 US.

What qualifies for payment?

Anyone who qualifies for and completes a survey, (and is not eliminated for quality concern purposes) has their account credited. PLEASE NOTE – in online surveys, the first few questions always are asked to see if the survey is appropriate for you. If you do not qualify at this stage, the survey terminates and you will not receive an incentive. The final page on the survey will always tell you if you completed the survey or not.

How can I redeem my account?

It’s simple! When your account reaches a minimum of $25 US (generally, one survey), all you have to do is request an account redemption. You should receive your amazon.com coupon within one to two weeks.

What are my responsibilities as a member of commun-IT.com?

Your only responsibility is to respond in a thoughtful and truthful manner when completing the research studies, in a way that reflects your opinion.

How much will I be compensated?

The exact amount could vary, depending on the activity, the topic and the type of respondent targeted. However, for online surveys or call-in telephone studies, we estimate the average length of the survey and assign an incentive in advance. A rule of thumb that you could use is $1 US per minute of survey length. For online focus group or chat discussions, incentive calculations are based upon our assessment of the time commitment involved in completing them.

What do you do if you feel a non-valid survey is submitted?

We take the quality of our respondents very seriously. That’s why we screen members carefully and incent appropriately. If we feel that a respondent has “flatlined” or “sped” through a survey without giving full consideration to the responses, then we contact the member to review the survey in question. If it turns out that our assessment is correct, the member is not paid for the survey, and their membership in Commun-IT.com is revoked.
